Here We Go...

Hey there,

The main details of this venture can be found in the first post. This is similar to Chris Ferguson's challenge, who turned $5 into $10,000 through only playing on FullTilt. I cashed $6.50 on a freeroll on Pokersatellites.com and through alot of SnG grinding turned it into a decent bankroll of ~$300.

Apologies that gap & cease in updates, it got tedious trying to update while multitabling at the same time so I just focussed on playing.

Good luck at the tables!

Yay!

Withdrawl went through to Moneybookers today!

End of this month/Start of next I will deposit money into a different site to take on a bonus. I'm thinking about FullTilt Poker as they have an EXCELLENT blind structure there. I will keep playing the $3 SnG's on PokerSatellites until then :-)

Happy Fishing!

Quick one...

Well a break from study I decided to play a $3 SnG. Played really well I thought, trapping 2 players on different occasions and nicking their chips. Heads up was extremely difficult, we lasted about 40 hands through it but I got the edge eventually after throwing away a 6:1 chip lead to reverse it in his favour. 1 big hand and 1 big bluff later and I'm in control & finished him off after I outkicked his trips with my own and put him on tilt, was only a matter of time then...

$3 + $0.30 - 10 Seater - 1st place - $15 returned

Ok so thats 5 wins in the last 6 SnG's, I'm quite proud of myself and hoping to keep grinding these SnG's. Patience is the key, don't gamble away a portion of your stack at the start and everything should fall into place. Still awaiting my withdrawl from PS to Moneybookers but hoping it's only a time delay and they're not going to be bitchy about it and ask for ID. Gonna take a break till Thursday at the earliest as I've an exam then and may want to relieve some stress with a game. Anyway updated table below;

Starting Bank: $0
Freerolls played/cashed: 2/2
- Profit: $14.50
SnG's Played: 52
Staked (incl. reg fee): $254.10

- Cashed: 27 (51.9%)
Main Bank: $89.40 (PokerSatellites)
MoneyBookers: $50
Total Bank: $139.40

Well not the usual update but...

Might be hitting our $20k sooner than expected lol. Ok just waded through 630 players to win a seat in the next qualifier. Need a final table then top 2 finish for my WSOP ticket, long shot but hey they all count.

Did realise how powerful small pocket pairs were in this. Doubling through on 2-3 occasions for my tournament life with them, usually would prefer AK in such position but they held up for me tonight, fingers crossed for Saturday I think!

Big Update Here...

Ok I know I have shown a little unenthusiasm towards this project after a bad run of cards, but have stuck to it and have clawed back my losses and into some profit. I don't know what positions I have come in the tournaments I have lost, so I will just put "Lost" in instead. Im not quite too sure on the order of these also, but will try to put them in as accurate as I remember.

Feeling a lot more confident heads up now also, won't need to be bolloxed drunk to beat you 5 in a row again Ryan ;-)

I did mess up entering the $20 SnG instead of the $10, but didn't play badly in it. Had over my starting stack in middle position with KK, raised UTG to 500, i type into chat "fold, i have a monster" and reraise all in - Instant call with...A-8. He hit's 2 pair on the flop and I'm out. I have decided to take $50 out into moneybookers and use that to take advantage of a bonus on another site. I will still play the $3 tournaments on PokerSatellites for now as I am doing quite well not at the moment. Above info mightn't be 100% accurate, I am awaiting an email off PokerSatellites to confirm the above data, all winning tournaments apart from 3 are definites, I had to calculate how my balance got to $127.70 from the remaining tournaments.

I have decided that to move up to the next buy-in level I will set a goal of 30*Buy-In's. So to move up to $5 SnG's I will need to reach $165. I will still however freeroll myself into a $5 if I win a $3 if I'm feeling confident to try to move up quicker. I will leave this decision to my own discretion at the time. Statistics now updated below;

Starting Bank: $0
Freerolls played/cashed: 2/2
- Profit: $14.50
SnG's Played: 51
Staked (incl. reg fee): $250.80

- Cashed: 26 (50.9%)
Main Bank: $77.70 (PokerSatellites)
MoneyBookers: $50
Total Bank: $127.70
