Ok have got hooked on Pokerstars and their great MTT's. I did lose over $100 in buyins to these big tourneys and tried to go for the deep stacked games. Well i just finished my 2nd, a $10, out of 1137 players I came 3rd for $1023.31. I'm over the moon right now, knocked out after 11 hours - wow. I love the 5k starting stacks with 30 min blinds. Well here it is below;

Sorry haven't updated in a while. Was playing alot and found it hard to keep track of. Anyway i've managed to reach ~$300 on PokerSatellites and withdrew $150, keeping $100 for a FullTilt signup but threw $50 into PokerStars. Played 2 tournaments, $5 27 player where i came 4th i think getting around $15. Was also playing a $4 180 player at the same time. Got to heads up as achip lead at 180,000 - 90,000, went up and down before he pulled a bit ahead of me. He then raised my BB, i had AT and pushed with about 100k to be called by K9, 9 on the flop and i come 2nd for $144. Around $370 now after the win.

Over the $150 mark!

Played 4 STT's last night when I was drunk, well really only 2 - Buddy played 2 also. I won one and lost one, he lost both! But a successful session so far today sees me more in profit. Results below;

Well a break from study I decided to play a $3 SnG. Played really well I thought, trapping 2 players on different occasions and nicking their chips. Heads up was extremely difficult, we lasted about 40 hands through it but I got the edge eventually after throwing away a 6:1 chip lead to reverse it in his favour. 1 big hand and 1 big bluff later and I'm in control & finished him off after I outkicked his trips with my own and put him on tilt, was only a matter of time then...

Ok so thats 5 wins in the last 6 SnG's, I'm quite proud of myself and hoping to keep grinding these SnG's. Patience is the key, don't gamble away a portion of your stack at the start and everything should fall into place. Gonna take a break till Thursday at the earliest as I've an exam then and may want to relieve some stress with a game. Anyway updated table below;

Might be hitting our $20k sooner than expected lol. Ok just waded through 630 players to win a seat in the next qualifier. Need a final table then top 2 finish for my WSOP ticket, long shot but hey they all count.

Did realise how powerful small pocket pairs were in this. Doubling through on 2-3 occasions for my tournament life with them, usually would prefer AK in such position but they held up for me tonight, fingers crossed for Saturday I think!

Ok I know I have shown a little unenthusiasm towards this project after a bad run of cards, but have stuck to it and have clawed back my losses and into some profit. I don't know what positions I have come in the tournaments I have lost, so I will just put "Lost" in instead. I did mess up entering the $20 SnG instead of the $10, but didn't play badly in it. Had over my starting stack in middle position with KK, raised UTG to 500, i type into chat "fold, i have a monster" and reraise all in - Instant call with...A-8. He hit's 2 pair on the flop and I'm out. I have decided to take $50 out into moneybookers and use that to take advantage of a bonus on another site. I will still play the $3 tournaments on PokerSatellites for now as I am doing quite well not at the moment. Above info mightn't be 100% accurate, I am awaiting an email off PokerSatellites to confirm the above data, all winning tournaments apart from 3 are definites, I had to calculate how my balance got to $127.70 from the remaining tournaments.

I have decided that to move up to the next buy-in level I will set a goal of 30*Buy-In's. So to move up to $5 SnG's I will need to reach $165. I will still however freeroll myself into a $5 if I win a $3 if I'm feeling confident to try to move up quicker. I will leave this decision to my own discretion at the time. Ahhh!!!! Bad beats are starting to kick in BIG TIME! 3 SnG's to report of, all 3 have gone out to horrible beats. KK vs. KJ, 88 vs. A2 both all in preflop. And the latest; calling a minraise in the BB with JT, flop comes J-T-4, I check-raise all-in only to be called by none other than A2, guess what runner-runner cards came up?! Argh!!!!

Ok I messed up a bit over the weekend after a few drinks and played when I shouldn't have. Didn't want to post again until I redeemed myself. Anyway here goes;

I did play 2 SnG's yesterday but was too tired after finishing to post, that and the 12 hour shift I worked today. Anywho no serious change in the bank roll to report of, just a loss of $1 since the last update.

I did play quite well in the SnG i bubbled out on. Played cowboys really sneakily in late position and reeled a guy in with KJ on a J high board, the K river helped push the rest of his chips into the middle too hehe. However didn't catch many cards since then and was pretty much blinded out.

I've also decided to add some new statistics to the Bank below as tbh it does look quite bare. I will have total SnG's played, staked, won & cashed to lavish up the blog a bit. Also switched around main/total bank, have no idea why they were the other way around to begin with.

Some more SnG's to report of, have been playing quite well but now starting to get a few bad beats. But we do pass the $100 mark so playing $5 SnG's will be safe from now.

The game where i finished 4th was the most horrible game of my life. On the bubble i was outdrawn 8 times (where my opponent was all in each time) when I had them dominated. 5 times off the 1 person, hitting miracle cards continuously. I felt I was playing well however and continued playing making a nice profit from it.

I have now decided that when i win a SnG that i will freeroll myself into the next highest buyin SnG. ie. if I win a $5 i'll move to a $10, $10 for $15, etc... Reason being i'll already have made 3 times my money and have a chance of making a big jump in bankroll. Also since I will be playing well and feeling confident.

I also plan on trying to cash in a freeroll on another site so I will have an account to fall back on if this goes pear shaped.

This will be a project mainly based on improving/maximising Bankroll management.

Anyway some rules I will be abiding to & details to clear things up:

*I will be starting with a bankroll of $2.50 on PaddyPowerPoker (reason being they allow SnG's as low as $0.10 + $0.01/$0.02 which will give me >20 attempts before i go bust).

*My aim is to use at max 5% of my bankroll on any one table, though when stakes get higher I will try to reduce this % for a more stable profit.

*I will only be participating in 10 seater SnG's on the site for the moment.
